I purchased this watch in 2000, shortly before leaving for a three-month stay in Rome. The owner's manual said that the battery was good for seven years. Perhaps because I don't use the hourly chime, my watch still hums on using the original battery. My only complaint about this great watch is that it gains about five seconds a month. Some complaint, huh?
The reason I did the search for this watch today is that I was curious as to whether it still is available...that darned battery is going to give up the ghost sometime! I was very happy to see that it still is available, and I hope it still will be if and when this battery ever does give out.
