I replaced my 8" Yamaha powered sub with this unit. A world of difference! The Yama, while not bad under most conditions ...farted when asked to produce those earthquake movie lows. The BIC handles the lowest, lows with floor shaking clarity. The down firing 12" transmits powerful lows you can literally feel beneath your feet. Performance for this sub is outstanding. I could say for the price but I won't qualify it because it is simply outstanding. Fit and finish are first rate. The piece is a bit large but I use it for a small end table next to my couch.
